Gettin' Schooled

So yesterday I had my first vocal coaching in well over a year.  Probably closer to two.  How did it go?  It was scary fun.  May sound like a strange answer but, it makes sense to me.

A Six Pack + 1

I'm doing a show!!  Since September, I've been a part of F.A.C.T. (Friends Always Creating Theatre) which is a non-profit group of playwrights, directors and actors.  The mission is to help in the creation and development of new works.  Well, the time has time has come for the end of our first season.  The culmination of this first year will be A Six Pack + 1, a collection of 7 short plays that we'll be performing May 21-23 at Joria Productions, 260 W. 36th St., 3rd floor (between 7th and 8th avenues).  Keep reading to get the info.  I hope you'll decide to join us!

The Survival Job: A Double-Edged Sword

Most of us have to have them... jobs.  How else are we going to pay our bills and rent/mortgages?  But, sometimes it's like you're trapped and can't get away from it.  You're making the money that you need to pay those bills but, the atmosphere is made to where you're dreading it every time you have to go in.  I'm dealing with this very thing.

Red

imgres.jpg

I was a little nervous about seeing Red, the new play at the Golden Theatre, because my knowledge of art and, particularly, painter Mark Rothko is virtually non-existent.  Luckily, that lack of knowledge didn't matter.  What I saw was a great play and two brilliant performances that blew me away for 90 minutes.

Into The Woods

into the woods.jpg

Recently, we got NetFlix streaming through the Wii.  How cool!  Now, we don't even have to wait for the movies to come in the mail.  Anyway, one of the categories of movies is Musicals and, flipping through the list, I found one that I had to watch for, about, the 15th time.  A show that's always too much fun to pass up, Into the Woods.
