BB Update 3: Kristin Gdula, Theater Factotum

Time for another update.  We have one new video this week and, I'm going to point you to where you can find out about the team here at Broadway Blogspot.  Read on...

New this week in Broadway Backstage is our interview with theater factotum, Kristin Gdula.  What IS a "factotum" you ask?  (I did, anyway.)  Well, according to Wikipedia, it's "a person having many diverse activities or responsibilities".  Basically, someone who can do it all.

As you watch Kristin, you learn that she HAS done everything backstage.  She also explains how most of her jobs have from internships.  Also, the importance that interning and networking play in moving up the theater food chain.

We also get to hear a bit about her work, with Basil Twist, to create the puppets that are used in The Addams Family which is currently playing at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre and starring Nathan Lane and Bebe Neuwirth.

She seems like a charming girl who would be quite an asset to any backstage crew.

Do any of you, while you're reading these posts or looking at the site ask yourselves, "Who's in charge around here?"  Well to find out, just head to the "Who We Are" section of the site.  That'll give you some information about the people who bring Broadway Blogspot to you.

As always, if you have any comments, questions or suggestions, please don't hesitate to let us know.  We always appreciate feedback.

Until next time...
