BB Update 1: Seth Bisen-Hersh and Victoria Mallory

On Saturday, we had our first new additions to Broadway Blogspot since going live in April.  Our first videos are interviews with composer Seth Bisen-Hersh and actress Victoria Mallory.  New videos will be up each week but first, this week's.

First up is composer Seth Bisen-Hersh.  His interview is so big that we had to split it into two parts.  In part one, he tells us about his weekly showcases at Don't Tell Mama's.  He also tells us why being a part of a showcase can help a performer out.

I actually did one his showcases back in October and, have to say, it's a really great opportunity to perform in one of the best cabaret spots in New York City.  All three of my "Showing Off" posts are videos from performing with Seth at DTM's.

Next up, we have actress Victoria Mallory.  She was in the original casts of, both, A Little Night Music and Follies.  Here she tells about how she got her role in Follies.  It's really cool to hear how her role was, literally, created for her.

Also, she tells us her feelings about her daughter, Ramona, playing the role she originated in the new revival of ALNM.  It's great to see how proud she is of her daughter following in her footsteps.

If you want to check out either of the videos, just click their names above.  I'll try to do these updates to coincide with the new videos.  If you have any questions or comments about any of the videos, please be sure to let us know.

Until next time...
